Raffle Tickets will be available in all
three churches from 19th May. Please
take some books away and sell them to
your friends, neighbours and work
- Merrifield’s Estate Agents have
kindly agreed to put up their Fete
advertising boards again. Could you have
one in your garden? Please let us know
by 26th May.
- Poster Boards. Advertising is
vital. Are you able to have a removable
sign board for posters? We can supply
and fit one.
- The Dog Show is back again! Do you,
or someone you know, have a dog? Why not
- Businesses. Know a local business
that would be able to place an advert in
the programme, sponsor an event, or give
a donation? Contact Tilly or Diana for a
letter to give to them.
- Donations. From 2nd June, please
leave donations in your church’s normal
location or in big St Mary’s flower
- Cakes, Plants and Produce, will be
needed. Please get preparing, freezing
and nurturing as appropriate.
- Volunteers. We will need help on
the day for the stalls, set up in the
morning and take down afterwards. We
will also need help on the Thursday
evening and Friday afternoon. Any help
will be gratefully received. Signup
sheets are available in each church or
offer your services to the contacts
- Donation/Sponsorship. Running the
Fete incurs a large cost. You may feel
more able to support it by donating
towards one of the vital costs - The
Entertainer; Raffle ticket printing;
Food for the BBQ

DECORATING PARTY NEEDED
Now that the Refectory is waterproof and
has had a chance to dry out, we are keen
to see it spruced up, so we need a
decorating team to clean and
redecorate. If this is something you

JOYFUL NOISE 3rd May
at 10.00am on Friday 3rd May in St Mary's. Short and fun
service for young children and adults, followed by
refreshments. Everyone welcome - even without accompanying
children! Your support would be most welcome.
CHRISTIAN AID 4th May
There will be a Soup, bread and cheese lunch at the Methodist Church
on Saturday 4 May, 12noon to 1.30pm in aid of Christian Aid.
SUMMER SUNDAY TEAS 5th May-15th September
We're looking for people to join a team
serving teas in the Refectory on a
Sunday afternoon from 3pm-5pm. This is
a fun way of getting to know and serve
the community, as well as making friends
in the team. People are needed, as well,
to bake cakes for each week. Any offers
of help or ideas for volunteers for a
Sunday or two, in these dates, please

THEOLOGY TALK Sunday 12th May

Meghann Hewett will be discussing the
person of Christ (the branch of theology
known as ‘Christology’).
CHRISTIAN AID WEEK 12-18th May
Annual Door To Door Collection. As part
of our commitment to Churches Together
In Kidlington and to Christian Aid, we
are seeking help for the annual door to
door collection. There are several
different routes of varying sizes. It is
a great opportunity for outreach and to
meet the people of Kidlington. Envelopes
are in the porch of the church so please
help yourself. Collection needs to be
completed by 18th May. If you have any

ARTISTS AT ST Mary's EXHIBITION
which is part of
Oxfordshire Artweeks, runs from Saturday
18th May to Monday 27th May, 12 to 5pm
each day. Come along and see the variety
of artwork by 21 artists from the
Kidlington area and have a cup of tea.
FAREWELL SERVICE 26th May
Laura's farewell service will be on
Sunday 26th May at 10am at St Mary's,
followed by a coffee concert and a bring
and share lunch. Laura's licensing
service in Headington Quarry will be on
Tuesday 18th June at 7.30pm. All are
ASCENSION DAY 30th May
