About this deal

Special Summons a monster from the opponent's Graveyard to the player's field in face-up Defense Position. The anime version of " Dark Corridor" also belongs to this archetype since its kanji name contains "暗黒界". The TCG/OCG version does not belong to this archetype, but does directly support it. Dark World Archives is like Dark World Dealings, but it’s only for you, the effect is available as a Continuous hard once per turn, it moves 2 cards at a time instead of 1, and your Dark World monsters on the field benefit from the discard — 3 copies During your Main Phase: You can discard 1 "Dark World" monster, and if you do, "Dark World" monsters you currently control gain ATK equal to the Level the discarded monster had in the hand x 100, until the end of this turn. If a monster whose original Type is Fiend is discarded from your hand by the effect of a "Dark World" card or an opponent's card effect, even during the Damage Step: You can discard 1 card, then draw 2 cards. You can only use each effect of "Dark World Archives" once per turn.

Today, here at the end of 2022, a lot’s changed about the game we love. Xyz Monsters are now a vast toolbox of options, hundreds of cards deep. Link Monsters didn’t exist at all when Grapha first hit the scene, and many of them are now combo powerhouses. When your opponent activates a monster effect, if you have 3 or more cards in your hand (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 "Dark World" monster on the field; return it to the hand, and if you do, the activated effect becomes "Your opponent randomly discards 1 card". If this card is discarded to the GY by card effect: You can target 1 "Dark World" monster in your GY, except "Parl, Hermit of Dark World"; Special Summon it to either field, then, if this card was discarded from your hand to your GY by an opponent's card effect, you can Special Summon, to either field, 1 of your Fiend monsters that is banished, or in your hand or GY. You can only use this effect of "Parl, Hermit of Dark World" once per turn. If this card is discarded to the GY by a card effect: If it was discarded from your hand to your GY by an opponent's card effect, you can target up to 2 cards your opponent controls; Special Summon this card, then destroy those targets (if any). The name of this illustrious knight is known by all residents of Dark World. He never oppresses the commoners. You can reveal this card in your hand; your opponent randomly chooses 1 card from your entire hand, then you discard the chosen card. Then, if the discarded card was not "Danger!? Tsuchinoko?", Special Summon 1 "Danger!? Tsuchinoko?" from your hand, and if you do, draw 1 card. If this card is discarded: You can Special Summon this card. You can only use this effect of "Danger!? Tsuchinoko?" once per turn. You can reveal this card in your hand; your opponent randomly chooses 1 card from your entire hand, then you discard the chosen card. Then, if the discarded card was not "Danger! Mothman!", Special Summon 1 "Danger! Mothman!" from your hand, and if you do, draw 1 card. If this card is discarded: You can have both players draw 1 card, then both players discard 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Danger! Mothman!" once per turn. Both players discard as many cards as possible from their hands, then each player draws the same number of cards they discarded. If this card is discarded to the GY by card effect: Draw 1 card, or, if it was discarded from your hand to your GY by an opponent's card effect, draw 2 cards instead.

If this card is discarded to the GY by card effect: Special Summon this card to your opponent's field in Defense Position. If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Dark World" card: Your opponent discards 1 card.

With No Nibiru You Can Go Crazy

Reign-Beaux, Overking…3k beater or Grapha searcher. Useful, but not a starter, and Dark World already has Snoww to add a Dark World card as needed — 2 copies Both players reveal their hands, each chooses 1 card from their opponent's hand, then you discard the chosen cards from both players' hands, then both players draw 1 card. Since all "Dark World" monsters are Fiend, you can add " Solidarity" to boost the ATK of all "Dark World" monsters by 800 as long as there is at least one Fiend monster (and no other Types) in your Graveyard. Paleozoic Dinomischus doesn’t do enough by itself considering you have Grapha to pop cards and work with the Dark World strategy

If this card is discarded to the GY by card effect: If it was discarded from your hand to your GY by an opponent's card effect, target 1 Fiend monster on the field; Special Summon this card, then that target (if any) gains 500 ATK. Target 1 face-up card on the field; discard 1 card, and if you do, banish it. Once per Chain, when a Trap Card is activated while this card is in your GY: You can Special Summon this card as a Normal Monster (Aqua/WATER/Level 2/ATK 1200/DEF 0). (This card is NOT treated as a Trap.) If Summoned this way, this card is unaffected by monster effects, also banish it when it leaves the field. Gateway only allows you one summon in the turn it’s played: the monster you resurrect with this card…when the competent Dark World monsters can already do that by and to themselves and need to semi-swarm the field as often as they canYou can Special Summon this card (from your GY) by returning 1 "Dark World" monster you control to the hand, except "Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World". If this card is discarded to the GY by card effect: Target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy that target, then, if this card was discarded from your hand to your GY by an opponent's card effect, look at 1 random card in your opponent's hand, then, if it was a monster, you can Special Summon it to your field. Dark World Accesiongives you access to the new, upgraded version of Grapha too, re-emerging as a Fusion Monster called Grapha, Dragon Over Lord of Dark World. With 3200 ATK and an effect that can revive your fallen Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark Worldeven if it’s been banished. The best thing about it is that once per turn, the new Grapha can change your opponent’s monster effect, or the effect of a Normal Spell or Trap Card, into a discard that hits your hand instead. That can solve a lot of problems, but the main reason it matters is that you can Special Summon it early and protect yourself from Nibiru, the Primal Being. With No Nibiru You Can Go Crazy

The End of Anubis", " Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror", " Soul Drain" or " Abyss Dweller" will negate or stop activated GY effects, making "Dark World" cards nearly useless. Special Summons a Fiend monster that the player owns, that is banished or in their hand or GY, to either field. You can reveal this card in your hand; your opponent randomly chooses 1 card from your entire hand, then you discard the chosen card. Then, if the discarded card was not "Danger! Thunderbird!", Special Summon 1 "Danger! Thunderbird!" from your hand, and if you do, draw 1 card. If this card is discarded: You can target 1 Set card your opponent controls; destroy it. You can only use this effect of "Danger! Thunderbird!" once per turn. Target 1 "Dark World" monster in your GY; Special Summon that target. You cannot Summon monsters the turn you activate this card, except by this effect (but you can Normal Set). Unchained Abomination (3000 ATK, Link 4) requires 2 or more monsters including a Link Monster to be summoned to the field. This monster can budget on some of your Dark World monster effects that destroy a card on the field to destroy another card. In addition, when another monster is destroyed by battle and during the end phase the player can destroy another card severely damaging any player strategy.Lightning is a worse version of Mystical Space Typhoon and Heavy Storm, particularly because of the loss in card advantage unless you happen to have the right Dark World monster to discard at the time Magical Thorn" can inflict severe damage by forcing the opponent to take 500 LP damage every time they discard a card. Once per turn: You can target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; discard 1 Fiend monster, and if you do, banish that target. This section will show exactly which effects are activated with any "Dark World" monster's discard. This also shows exactly the additional effect that happens when the opponent's effect is the cause for the discard. Parl, Hermit isn’t a starter, but its ability is flexible and stands out as an easy Grapha resurrection for recovery purposes (or advancement, if you just discarded Grapha to pop a card) — 2 copies
