About this deal

Based on other Samsonite models and other brands too, it seemed to be priced on the lower end for some reason. I genuinely can’t see difference in features with the more expensive models. I guess you can see that I really like this suitcase. I always try and be objective when writing a review but sometimes some products are good and you just want to tell everybody.

I find the trolley pull handle still a bit wobbly like every other luggage I’ve owned – but it’s still better than the others I’ve had. (I’m not sure if there are any non-wobbly ones?) But that’s fine as you’re supposed to only pull the luggage from it, not carry it from the handle. And as for the carry handles they’re very comfortable and have a hard topside but a rubbery and soft underside which makes for a very nice handle.I’ll mention two things I haven’t had the insight to in the review which I’ll add later in some form when updating:

So, this concludes the Samsonite Prodigy review. I hope you found it useful and helps inform your buying decision. Extra large suitcases are just as personalisable as any other suitcase size. Whether you want to engrave, emboss or add a personalised luggage tag to your suitcase, we have the best option for you. You need a (Samsonite) 4 wheel cabin luggage, mostly for lightweight use such as short business tripsThis is one of the only worries I have for the luggage. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s well built, well designed, and clearly the Samsonite luggage quality you can expect… BUT. As the luggage looks like something that could be described as ‘hard shell’, I wasn’t expecting the amount of flexibility and the thin material that’s being used… to be so thin! But that being said, it might be a lot more durable than the first impressions I got. And honestly I’d expect it to be as it’s a Samsonite luggage. BUT… It just feels so thin that I have my doubts – for now at least.

I would always recommend a Polycarbonate suitcase as it gives you strength and texture to the surface of hard side luggage. The biggest capacity gain is the design of the wheels. Normally, the wheel covers are recessed high into the suitcase body. This design sits lower and thus takes less room meaning more capacity. It is a small detail that makes a difference, a very typically Samsonite trait. This is an unusual design feature on hard sided luggage, an expandable section. It is a welcome addition and very useful too. The case expands by 3 cm.

Mid Year Sale T&C

Large suitcases are 70 to 79 cm or 27 to 31 inches in height. They have a capacity of 55 L up to 140 L. Just imagine how many clothes and shoes you could fit in these suitcases! What is better: a spinner or an upright suitcase? And finally; not to sound like a Samsonite salesperson… but this is from my personal experiences: A good luggage is one of those things it’s worth to pay a bit more to get a proper one, rather than struggle with cheaper options and keep replacing them when they fall apart, making the cheaper ones the more expensive choice in the long run and your life that much more miserable. Another stylish and subtle suitcase personalisation option is engraving. With laser technology we can add your name or a personal message of up to 25 characters onto the metal suitcase handle. Engraving is available in different fonts.

A good review helps with that decision-making process and a more in-depth review will help even more. In this review, I will cover off the main areas that you need to know about. I will give you some details that you might want to consider and what to look for. We have three ways for you to personalise your large suitcase. You can engrave or emboss your suitcase, or you can add a personalised luggage label to your suitcase. The Samsonite Prodigy has fared well in this review as it has served me well over the last few months. It has shown itself to be a very durable piece of luggage which has been flexible enough to serve my business travel and leisure needs. The super-light ranges like Neopulse and B-Lite have taken buyers away from traditional Samsonite hard-shell cases like these. Things have turned around, now it is hard-shell cases like this one which are unusual! The Samsonite Prodigy review should be the easiest review I ever write. We all know the quality and reputation of Samsonite…and for good reason. They are fantastic.

The handle set up is pretty standard on this suitcase. One at the top and a helpful one on the side too. They are strong and well made. However, the people have spoken…they asked and I delivered. Here is my in-depth Samsonite Prodigy carry on review. The telescopic handle is one of the best I have tested. Strong and robust, it has a nice sound to it too. I have not had a second of issue with it to date. The design of it is appealing too with the handle sitting snugly into a well-designed frame. Samsonite prodigy spinner 55 review Samsonite luggage Expandable section There is no luggage that is 100% secure as we all know, but this does a fine job of limiting the risk.
