About this deal

We gave the George a 10 out of 10 for carpets. You can’t just vacuum them, you can shampoo them, clean up stains, and use it on the furniture, too… which brings us to our next point. George vs Furniture We gave the George a 10 out of 10 for car cleaning. It’s even able to get the pet hair out of the foot mats and that’s a first. George vs Carpets It also fell badly at the Cheerio hurdle. In carpet mode, the floor head doesn’t have any space to let a Cheerio under it and into the path of its powerful vacuum. On hard floor mode, the extendable brush does have some gaps at the front, which let some Cheerios through, but it still pushed most of our test spill ahead of it. In a nutshell, the floor head isn’t well suited for larger particles. Converting the George into dry mode is relatively straightforward. You just need to push the HepaFlo bag onto the inner suction tube, then attach the large TriTex filter. The whole process takes less than a minute.

We are not sure that there is anyone who wouldn’t be glad to have this tough, durable cleaner in their cupboard. That being said, there are those who will get the maximum use from it. People that live an outdoor, active lifestyle are likely to use the George vacuum cleaner five days a week to clean dirt out of their cars. Likewise, people with pets seem to love it for cleaning up little accidents…Please note: This review is of the GVE 370-2 model. When we refer to the “Numatic George,” we are specifically talking about this version of the vacuum. There may be differences in features and design between this model and other versions. Overview of the Numatic George GVE 370-2’s Features George has a 9 litre dust bin however he has different capacities for wet and dry dirt. For dry dirt only his capacity shoots up to 15 litres.

If you know and love the Henry range already then this will complete your collection. If not, and you are in the market for a new vacuum cleaner, consider the George. He eliminates the need for a separate carpet cleaner, can freshen your upholstery, and has plenty of reach ready to keep your car fresh. He offers two useful features. The first is a dual purpose hairo-brush which is fantastic for scrubbing off stubborn pet hairs and other stains, the second is a carbon filter designed to combat unpleasant smells. The MicroFresh filter activated charcoal filter will minimise the bad smells your pets can create. Also Known as: Numatic GVE370-2 GREEN George Bagged Cylinder 3 in 1 Vacuum Cleaner Numatic George GVE 370 Vacuum Cleaner Inc Kit A26A George Vacuum Cleaner Numatic George Vacuum Hard Floor and Carpet Cleaner - Green. In terms of design, the George shares many features with other Numatic vacuums we’ve reviewed. Similarities include a cylinder design, four wheels, and the recognisable smiley face. It also has a 9-litre wet capacity, huge 15-litre dry capacity, and 6-litre extraction capacity, so you can clean for a long time without needing to empty it. There’s always a frugal member of the family and James is it. Bright blue in colour he’s efficient to run and offers a different approach to storage and attachments. The Henry vacuum cleaner range covers a number of price points. The more expensive models, like the George, do more things than the models that don’t cost as much. Adversely, the cheapest Henry Vacuum is likely to be the original version. You would think that you paid less for less dustbin capacity (like what you get with the James, where you sacrifice dustbin space for storage) but this isn’t the case. What is a Class Rating? Over the years we’ve seen his family grow rapidly. We’ve since been introduced to Hetty, Charles, George and James, among others. They specialise in all sorts of jobs whether it’s clearing up troublesome pet hair or devouring spilled liquids.
