I was worried at first when I saw the tags from the British rating system on it but much to my surprise when I popped it into the blue ray player it booted right up and played without issue in a region 1 player. This is Downey Juniors swan song and a fitting good-bye to his charter that will be so sorely missed in the MCU, Tony is our guiding light, we may not have alway agreed with him or liked him but he was the star we stirred towards always.

The movie starts by picking up 5 years after the events of Infinity War where the remaining members of the Avengers are broken, defeated depressed and hopeless. I was a comic fan before the MCU, I grew up with these charters as a child/teenager and it's been a privilege to see them bout to the big screen in full. After 21 films, the MCU had amassed a massive following and taken audiences everywhere from the depths of space (in Guardians of the Galaxy) to the Dark Dimension (in Doctor Strange). Overall I was 90% happy with EndGame, it was never going to be perfect and to expect it to be is a mistake. It marks the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it and the stepping off point for the original six, making way a whole new era of characters and stories going into the next phase of the MCU and a brand new saga.

The movie explores a lot of dark themes such as mental health, depression, anger etc, with they occasional humour added for good measure. However, there are some excellent action sequences along with flawless visual effects that make the wait worth while. setting the foundations for what would grow to be a sprawling film series – including other heroes such as Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). With all the pieces on the board, Thanos (known infamously as the Mad Titan) was ready to make his move in Avengers: Infinity War.Half of the world's superheroes are dead, and it's now up to those who remain to bring the fight back to Thanos and hopefully reverse the destruction he's brought to the universe. A superb follow-up to Infinity War, maybe not what I anticipated having avoided being told of events, but, exciting stuff indeed, action-packed coupled with the usual array of dazzling CGI.
