First the Channel Tunnel, then the rise of cheap air travel took a dent out of our enthusiasm for the roll-on, roll-off start to our holidays. To be doing something completely new when you’re in your fifties and having a whole new adventure is great.If I had this book when I first started studying French, my road to speaking French would be far less rocky than it was.
