About this deal

Its striking black bottle design with crossed bones and embossed lettering makes this rum immediately feel affiliated with pirates. The nose opens up the flavours of toffee, vanilla and gives way to orange zest and peppery spice with a hint of coffee on the palate.

Elaborated with sugarcane FROM ocho different countries of the Caribbean and South America, the rum Bumbu is added spices of natural origin from the Caribbean, without flavoring or colorants. Bumbu is blended with some of the world's purest water and aged in oak barrels to create a fine rum with a taste as complex as the brand's rich history. Only if your diet consist of liters of sugary energy drinks - and your ability to discern anything but sweetness has long since died - could you appreciate this rum. If this was marketed as the Spiced Rum Based Drink it is, instead of as you can see from the advert above it is noted as being “The Craft Rum” I wouldn’t have much of an issue with this. At Bumbu Rum Company, we handcraft our rums from a blend of the finest sugarcane from across the West Indies.

I’m sure I have also seen terms such as Bombo and Bumbu, used to describe mixed drinks made by Pirates and other historical figures. Look for a lightly sweet flavor, evoking brown sugar, vanilla, fruit and nuts, with a round, cinnamon- and ginger-laced finish. As with most rums like this, after the initial burst of confected over the top sweetness it just disappears to nothing.

uk accepts no liability for inaccuracies or misstatements about products by manufacturers or other third parties. In the mouth, spices and sweet fruits reappear in the mouth, where this rum leaves a soft and pleasant entrance and a medium persistence.I do agree with some of the "not like a true rum" reviews others have posted, but taken for what this is, which is more of a dessert drink or almost a liquor, this is a very nice addition to the bar, to be enjoyed straight up on a cold day. Yes in the 16th and 17th century sailors, pirates, plunderers and admirality might well have “spiced” their rum. With notes of sweet toffee, orange peel, vanilla and accents of pepper and coffee, this XO edition has a great well-rounded flavour.

Delivering a satisfying and sensational palate experience, Bumbu Creme is perfect simply sat neatly on the rocks on a summers evening.

Distilled and aged at our distillery in Panama, which dates back to 1890 and using a still from 1900- more than 100 years old! In the event of any safety concerns or for any other information about a product please carefully read any instructions provided on the label or packaging and contact the manufacturer. Carrying classic spiced rum notes, this blend delivers a unique palate of chai, coconut, and cinnamon with an added touch of luxe creaminess. With an alcohol volume of just 15%, simply serve on the rocks for the perfect addition to a hot summer’s night.
