About this deal

This book is basically the kitten being bored and destructive because the girl is too obsessed with her video game. This is an adult woman yet she talks like a child, using gaming language in every day life. A little cringe 😬 Our collection is great for animal lovers and feline owners. Even if you do not have a kitty as a pet, you will love our wide selection of adventures. You can listen to kittens meow, launch pussycats via a catapult, and earn thousands of points by playing with pets. Our challenges give you the option of choosing whichever kitties you love, including domestic, tabby, and longhairs! Send pets flying through the sky, race in a mini-car, and have all sorts of fun in our many cat games! I'm screaming, crying, dying from the cuteness and how relatable this manga is! This is a wholesome manga about a twenty-nine year old, who's secretly a gamer, and one day when an stray tuxedo kitten shows up in her office, she decides to take him home. I have two tuxedo cats of my own and both of them have acted like Musubi does in the manga. It touched the most softest parts of my heart and the bonus panels we get from Musubi's perspective is so precious. The main character, Riko Kozakura, is one of the most relatable characters for me. As a long-time gamer and having cats who like to be all up in my gaming business, it was so nice to read about a main character who hits close to home. Plus, if any readers are new pet parents, I think this manga is going to hit all those first times for you especially if you've taken in a stray animal or recently rescued a pet. This was just a really sweet, wholesome, slice of life manga and I can't wait to continue on with the series. I highly recommend to anyone who's looking for a light-hearted read, with humor and cuteness sprinkled throughout. a b 猫暮らしのゲーマーさん 8 (in Japanese). Shogakukan. Riko Kozakura, Zero Overtime Woman, is a dedicated office worker who makes sure all her work is done on time, and always gives a resounding "NO!" to anything and everything that happens after work. Overtime? Nah, all my work's done. Celebratory office parties? Nope, pass. She's got a reputation at work, but she doesn't care--once closing time hits, she's off for home, ready to throw on some sweats and get gaming! But when a stray kitten is found outside the office where she works, she surprises everyone (including herself!) by immediately saying she'd be willing to take care of it. She's got zero pet experience though, what was she thinking?

Office lady who’s a gamer takes in a stray cat, compares the various tasks involved with taking care of a cat to gaming. Riko, a twenty-nine-year-old office worker with an obsession for video games, finds her quiet life upended when she takes in a stray cat!

Story and art are provided by Wataru Nadatani. They don’t have many titles to their name, and this seems to be their first English release. Art-wise, they clearly had a lot of love for cats as each panel not only has them in cute poses but also the level of detail in the way the cat’s fur is depicted is very impressive, especially on he cover – you almost want to reach out and pet the cat! I also liked the detail in the games that Riko plays; they’re somewhat generic, with references to the likes of Dragon’s Quest, Final Fantasy, the Souls games and such, but it’s still detailed regardless.Riko, a twenty-nine-year-old office worker with an obsession for video games, finds her quiet life upended when she takes in a stray cat! Her coworkers can't quite figure her out--she never talks about her personal life, she never works overtime, and she never joins them for happy hour. Is she antisocial? Nope, she's rushing home to play video games! One day, a stray cat is found in the office parking lot, and before Riko knows it, the cat has moved in with her! Having no experience with pets, Riko uses lessons drawn from video games to guide her in cat care, while her cute companion tries to understand her behavior through a cat's worldview. Cat + Gamer ( Japanese: 猫暮らしのゲーマーさん, Hepburn: Nekogurashi no Gēmā-san) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Wataru Nadatani. It was serialized in Shogakukan's shōnen manga magazine Shōnen Sunday S from November 2018 to January 2022. I found our main character, Riko, to be an interesting character and loved seeing her gaming habits right from the beginning because it really helps show how different things are once she takes in this stray. a b 猫暮らしのゲーマーさん 1 (in Japanese). Shogakukan. Archived from the original on July 29, 2021 . Retrieved July 29, 2021. The Japanese title is something like 'Gamer who lives with a cat,' which doesn't exactly leap off the shelves," the writer explains. "I brainstormed a bunch of ideas, including Nine Lives and Ready Player Cat. But none of them really sparked. Then I thought of keeping it simple, and just Cat + Gamer with the plus sign being a controller dpad. That was the clear winner."
